The Flying Fishmongers with the Flu and Civilian

Doors: 8 pm. $5

the Flu made a reputation on the road with legends, Bif Naked, and Paul Rodgers. Now four years of age, the band continues with 6 brand new songs, under the title ‘the Flu – Underdose’, a follow up to their 2013 debut album. As recognized in their live show, this is an intense and dedicated act that is on the move. While it’s still young, you’re gonna wanna catch - the Flu.

“I was thoroughly impressed with “the Flu”. Well-written, catchy pop-rock songs that, at times, reminded of a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and 1960s-era Who. As a live act they’re incredibly dynamic - the energy level could power a small town!”

Adrian Chamberlain – Victoria Times Colonist

Civilian is a three piece band with a sound that is dirty and psychedelic all wrapped up in a blues rock tone.

Their high energy performance style and sound always translates into a jacked up venue and crowd. If you're not moving your feet at a Civilian show then you're doing it all wrong.

Their influences come from Jack White, Frank Zappa, Cage the Elephant, Led Zeppelin, Arctic Monkeys and more.
